Residents of Venezuela’s capital Caracas reacted sorrowfully to the news of the death of their leader Hugo Chavez, who on 5 March succumbed to cancer. UN chief Ban Ki-moon in New York also reacted to the Venezuelan leader’s death, extending his condolences.
